Another strip from number one is Davey and his Dinosaur. This was a thinly disguised version of the events a few years earlier when the police came round about me shooting people with an airgun as they left the Labour Club in Wick, and my nan treated the police with the same disdain as Davey's mum did here.
This was the inside front cover strip of number 1. Vic the Vet hasn't yet reappeared, but Stigma later got his own strip. The unfortunate pup managed to regrow the rest of his body before appearing the next time, something not yet explained by veterinary science.
Issue numer one appeared in August 1985 and featured Royston and Malcolm on the cover, standing at a very badly drawn railway station. Only 50 of these were produced, mostly sold in Littlehampton, and I suspect that copies are extremely rare - even my one is decidely tatty!
Well, it had to happen. Oh Cracky! now has its own blog which I hope will work as a constantly updating magaine with new strips, features etc etc. Do get involved via the 'comments' pages!
